The French Broad Rifles muzzleloading association is situated in the beautiful mountains of western North Carolina near Asheville. We are a traditional muzzleloading recreational club which meets twice monthly. Regular shooting occurs the 2nd and 4th Saturday of every month (weather permitting). Special matches (Silhouette Shoot, Woods walk, Shotgun and Fall Primitive Match) are scheduled every year.
The French Broad Rifles shoot traditional style muzzleloading weapons (percussion or flintlock) using patched roundball ammunition only.
French Broad Rifles provides a safe, fun, family friendly activity that keeps alive a sport which is hundreds of years old. The public is welcome to visit and shoot with us. We would love to talk to you about joining our club!!
